LIST OF APPROVED EFFLUENT DISCHARGERS
The National Water Resources Authority (NWRA) is mandated to manage and regulate water resources in Malawi in line with Section 10 of the Water Resources Act (2013). The Authority informs the public and all stakeholders of the list of approved effluent dischargers as of 7th July 2025.
The development is in conformity to Section 92(1) of the Water Resources Act (2013), which stipulates that:
“a person who wishes to discharge effluent shall apply to the Authority for a discharge permit”.
The permit provided is valid for a period of 2 years and renewable.
